Experienced teacher and administrator to kick off campaign with statewide tour on November 1st
KALISPELL – On Tuesday, November 1st, Sandy Welch will officially announced her candidacy for Montana Superintendent of Public Instruction. An experienced educator, Welch has spent 17 years as a teacher and school administrator. She is currently a grant writer and small business consultant.
“I’m running for the Office of Public Instruction because I believe that Montana’s future depends on the future of the next generation,” said Welch. “Montana’s youth need a cutting edge education that provides them with the necessary tools to succeed. I have a firm commitment to excellence in public schools and believe that by promoting accountability and innovation in the classroom we can improve the quality of the educational opportunities available to the students of our state,“ said Welch “We need an education system that works to give our kids the chance for a better future—and right now our education system is holding them back, not moving them forward. I intend to change that.”
